Er schloss das Medizinstudium 1896 in Z\u00fcrich ab, habilitierte 1899 in Z\u00fcrich, arbeitete bis 1912 in eigener Praxis, war dann bis 1918 ausserordentlicher Professor in T\u00fcbingen und folgte 1918 einem Ruf als Leiter der Medizinischen Poliklinik in Z\u00fcrich, wo er ab 1921 auch das Ordinariat und die Direktion der Medizinischen Klinik bis zu seinem R\u00fccktritt im Jahre 1937 inne hatte. Er verstarb am 11.
